Central Bureau of Statistics released in Dec. 2005 statistics show that 22 percent of Israeli households live below the poverty line, compared with 14% in 1990. The National Insurance Institute states a third of all Israeli children are now below the poverty line. Further statistics disclose that 1 in 4 elderly people in Israel live in poverty, and over a half a million people are dependent upon daily food handouts. This is the stark reality of modern-day-Israel. Over one million residents of Israel are suffering from some form of malnutrition or hunger.
Vision for Israel & The Joseph Storehouse, supplies essential humanitarian aid to Israel's impoverished individuals and families, both Jew and Arab. Many of them are struggling as orphans and widows, homeless and handicapped, senior citizens and geriatric patents as well as new immigrants and victims of terrorism. We also assist a broad base of organizations, serving low income groups.
Your donations assist Vision for Israel & The Joseph Storehouses to distribute food, clothing, toiletries, kitchen and household items, toys, blankets, and linens on a daily basis.
